Fundamentals of Ceramics
Our course will cover an overview of ceramics, providing a comprehensive introduction to the most ancient human art form: from the types of clay available to the methods of shaping clay into pleasing designs. Each person will create three pieces from start to finish, the same way our artists at Still Fired Up create the pieces in the studio.
You will learn to pour slip into cast molds, clean the pieces, decorate and fire them. No one is too much of a beginner for this course- our artists will help anyone to succeed and take home creations they are proud of.
From our class those who are new to ceramics can learn about the art, as well as get an idea of how to continue from there and go further.
The total cost of the course is $49.
The class will begin Monday, February 17, 2009, and will continue the following two Mondays. Private classes can also be arranged at the student's convenience.
